Summary of assessment of the Vietnam war 1945-1975 of historical witnesses on the International side

Summary of assessment of the Vietnam war

1945-1975 of historical witnesses on the International side :

Dear comrades and ladies and gentlemen,

The book The Vietnam War 1945-1975 is about to be published. To serve those who do not have time to read the entire book (nearly 1200 pages), I would like to send a summary of the War's Assessments by International historical figures   (including 15 figures).

Long Dien Vuong Van Giau.

1-Summary of comments on the Vietnam War 1945-1975 by the 34th President of the United States Dwight D. Eisenhower :

After the Suez Crisis in 1956, the United States became the protector of most Western interests in the Middle East. As a result, Eisenhower announced the “Eisenhower Doctrine” in January 1957. At the same time, the Domino Effect doctrine was born under Eisenhower to prevent the evil doctrine of international communism that wanted to be applied in China and Vietnam. If the United States did not

If we intervene, the consequences will be a chain reaction of 10 Southeast Asian countries collapsing due to the annexation policy of the Communist International headed by the Soviet Union and Communist China.

2- President Eisenhower's assessment and evaluation of International Communism and Vietnamese Communism were very accurate, through the famous saying: "We face a hostile ideology, global in scope, atheistic in nature , brutal in intention and cunning in tactics...". During the Korean War, he threatened to use nuclear weapons if China and North Korea did not withdraw from their invasion of South Korea 108 , thanks to which the South Korean defense line was maintained.

3-President Eisenhower 109 realized that Communist China aggressively wanted to annex the countries of Indochina and Southeast Asia after occupying all of China. So he immediately supported the countries of Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, to fight against the red wave of international communism. The presidents who succeeded him did not have the vision and determination, so presidents Kennedy, Nixon and Ford lost South Vietnam to international communism. These were serious mistakes that reduced the prestige of the United States with friendly countries.

3-President Eisenhower believed that only nationalism could confront Communism, so he wanted to support the South Vietnamese government, a purely national government. 110

4- President Eisenhower and Secretary of State Foster Dulles believed that Mr. Diem was a man of uncompromising patriotism. So they decided to support Mr. Diem but only after he defeated the National Front for the Unification of Religious Sects. That support was sometimes lacking in determination and waited for results on the battlefield and in politics. President Ngo Dinh Diem's talent convinced Eisenhower.

2- British Prime Minister Winston Churchill's comments on the Vietnam War (during   World War II):

1-Since 1943, President Churchill had intended to return independence to British colonies . France, however, did not sincerely return independence to its colonies. In Vietnam, France used the excuse that the Viet Minh followed Communism to call on the United States for aid to fight against the Vietnamese Communists.

2- Whether he wanted it or not, in 1945, President Churchill had to bear part of the responsibility for allowing British Lieutenant General Douglas Gracey (of the Allied forces disarming Japan) to allow French colonialists to return to Vietnam.

3- Faced with the prospect of Southeast Asian colonies and India demanding independence, Britain's power was clearly weakened, so it had to depend on US policy. Britain made many more concessions in colonial policy than France, which stubbornly clung to Indochina.

3-Long Dien summarizes events related to the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union   Josef Stalin on   the Vietnam War:

-How did Stalin assess the Vietnam War and use the Communist Party of Vietnam in the expansionist plot of International Communism:

- Through historical documents of the Communist bloc and the Free bloc that have been declassified, it is shown that Stalin committed many serious crimes but was deliberately concealed by the propaganda machine of the Soviet Union. Stalin's actions and policies in the International Communist command system with the intention of expanding Communism to other countries around the world, including Vietnam, Stalin must be held responsible for the crimes of Communism against humanity.

-Opening schools to train international communist cadres to infiltrate and sabotage right in their own country with financial and material support from international communists. These evil policies that divide, separate, and divide classes have had long-term harmful effects on Vietnam, causing the

The resistance war against French colonialism and Japanese imperialism lasted for a long time, causing the country of Vietnam to be devastated and broken. Ho Chi Minh and the members of the Communist Party of Vietnam, while implementing the policies of international communism, neglected or betrayed the interests of the Vietnamese people. Stalin's indirect crimes were the cause of the civil war between the two factions of Nationalism and Communism in Vietnam for 30 years (1945-1975).

-In addition to the crimes of genocide in Eastern European countries and the murder of tens of millions of Soviet people with different political views, Stalin also committed the crime of colluding with Nazi Germany to invade Eastern European countries to share the benefits until Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union, then Stalin turned to fight back!

- Stalin and the leaders of the International Communist Party only used the Vietnamese Communist Party for their plot to expand international communism and were completely unaware of the damage and destruction caused by the war in other countries. The Vietnamese Communist Party members who participated in the International Communist Party only knew how to serve the "Great World " and forgot the interests of the Vietnamese people! There were a few times when Ho Chi Minh regretted and thought about the interests of the Vietnamese people, but he was condemned and warned by Stalin himself. 113

In short, Stalin, a leader of the Soviet Union, committed many crimes against humanity and during the Vietnam War, Stalin was the one who caused division in the ranks of the resistance to liberate the nation from the slavery of French colonialism. Stalin had absolutely no contribution to the Vietnamese people as the Vietnamese Communist Party propagandized. The Vietnamese people recognized Stalin's crime of using the Vietnamese Communist Party's lackeys to import Communism into Vietnam, causing national division and causing war to destroy Vietnam just to satisfy the ambition of expanding Communism throughout the world.

Long Dien's comments on the decisions of the 35th US President John Kennedy in the Vietnam War :

1- In negotiating with the Soviet Union about the neutrality in Laos and the use of the Ho Chi Minh trail, President Kennedy made a mistake and suffered too many strategic losses, leading to the loss of South Vietnam. Because once Laos was lost or the communists used the Ho Chi Minh trail to infiltrate South Vietnam, the defeat in South Vietnam was considered certain.

2-“ If we need to fight in Southeast Asia, then let's fight in Vietnam. At least there the Vietnamese people still have the determination and will to fight to destroy communism. There are up to a million communist refugees in the South. Vietnam is where we want to be.”[i]  President Kennedy's words.

3-Decision to support (give green light) to some generals to overthrow President Ngo Dinh Diem, a constitutionally elected president, was an intervention in the internal affairs of the Republic of Vietnam, a wrong decision that lowered the prestige of the United States in the international arena. America's allies no longer believed in the impartial aid of the United States, but in aid with the intention of steering that country.

5- Long Dien 's summary of the 37th US President Nixon 's comments on the Vietnam War :

1- President Nixon showed the true characteristics of Americans: Interests and profits are above all. The US strategy for the Vietnam battlefield was "Fighting without winning", only hoping to maintain the original status quo, weakening the Soviet Union's potential in the arms race and separating China from the Soviet Union was enough.

2-President Nixon predicted that the Paris Peace Talks would not be effective in stopping the Vietnamese Communists but would only be a means to withdraw troops with "honor" and receive the remains of missing American soldiers.

3-Because South Vietnam and the United States had different needs for the war and viewed the war from different perspectives, they behaved differently. Instead of making their goals public, Nixon concealed his goals and made false commitments.

6-Long Dien's comments on US security advisor Henry Kissinger   :

1- Near the end of his life, Henry Kissinger confessed the mistakes of the United States, but he still ignored his own mistakes and tricks of betraying the Allies in the Vietnam War. He blamed the failure in Vietnam on wrong policies, underestimating the stubbornness and perseverance of the Vietnamese Communist Party. He only saw the cunning of the Vietnamese Communist Party as a great success and continued to praise Le Duc Tho, the Vietnamese Communist Party.

2-Henry Kissinger was a talented diplomat, with many tricks, including despicable tricks, a patriot of the Jewish nation, an enemy of South Vietnam, who committed many crimes against the peoples of Indochina, Bangladesh, Chile, Cyprus, East Timor and Greece.

7 - Long Dien summarizes the comments of American historian Bill Laurie about the Vietnam War :

1- Southern soldiers did not fight to protect a corrupt regime, but to protect a developing democratic country of their choice.

2-The monthly death toll of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam far exceeded the total war losses of all allied forces combined. ( But they still fought tenaciously for 20 years.)

3- Many American historians and American soldiers who fought side by side with the Southern army have had to exclaim that it is too unfair that the ARVN has become an invisible army in the majority of American public opinion since the war, then in post-war research, and in American politics.

4- The ARVN soldiers maintained high fighting spirit, they played an important role in the defense of their country.

5- The main reason why the Southern army was defeated within a few months was that the United States cut military and economic aid to the point that no army could survive.

6-A wealth of valuable historical facts and keen observations are contained in books written by Vietnamese (and Laotians). Without them, a comprehensive understanding is impossible. The works of Ly Tong Ba, Ha Mai Viet, Pham Huan, Phan Nhat Nam, Tran Van Nhut, and many others are crying out for translation, as are dozens of articles published each year in military magazines and other publications. Many of them describe battles, events, and personalities that are completely unknown to American historians. Without consulting these sources, it is certain that the Vietnam War, and Hanoi's Indochina War, will forever remain an unsolvable mystery, and the true history of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam will forever be buried under layers upon layers of myths, misunderstandings, and unfounded assumptions.

8-Summary of American Historian Mark Moyar's comments on the Vietnam War :

1-It was not the United States nor South Vietnam but North Vietnam that started this unnecessary war.   The North Vietnamese Communists invaded South Vietnam with the purpose of eliminating capitalism to impose communism, an inhuman ideology.

2-The simple reason is that under the leadership of President Diem, the Army of the Republic of Vietnam appeared stronger and more effective than when the US army began to enter the war in 1965 .

Ho's government was also very active in eliminating opposition political organizations and what they called reactionary elements in all social classes.
I and millions of other Americans considered it a disgrace when our government cut off military aid and air support to South Vietnam in 1974 and 1975.

5- Compared with the Ngo Dinh Diem government and Nguyen Van Thieu before that was the regime

This time (the Communist Party of Vietnam) oppressed the people much more and in terms of humanity it could not compare.

9-- Summary of comments by Professor of American History Dr. Stephen B. Young on the Vietnam War

1 - In the war against the northern communists, the Southern Vietnamese were in fact the main force.

2- The South Vietnamese Nationalist forces had more than enough courage, knowledge and ability to confront the communist invaders. But this force was weak because the northern communists received abundant weapons aid from the international communist faction.

3- The Vietnamese people's war against communism started in 1945 and it was not until 1965 that the US sent troops to the South. If the US sacrificed 58,000 people in this war, the Vietnamese Nationalists sacrificed millions of people for their ideals.

4-During the screening, the Vietnamese Nationalists were controlled by the "American allies" and had their leadership of the war taken away by the "American allies". As a result, the just war of the Vietnamese people was Americanized and distorted by the enemy with the complicity of the Americans.

10-Summary of the comments of General W. Westmoreland, Chief of Staff of the United States Army, during the Vietnam War :

1-"We did not lose in Vietnam, but we did not keep our commitment to the Army of the Republic of Vietnam."

2-"On behalf of the United States Armed Forces, I would like to apologize to the veterans of the South Vietnamese Armed Forces for abandoning you guys."

3- “However, history may well judge that jumping into Vietnam was one of our country’s greatest mistakes. On the other hand, history may also judge that America’s aid to South Vietnam was one of the noblest of human crusades.”

4-“I hope that we are not tying the hands of the South Vietnamese in any way so that they cannot take appropriate action to ensure the security of the South Vietnamese people.”
In my opinion, the United States has signed a solemn international agreement that concerns the fate of another country and in doing so has a clear moral obligation to ensure that the agreement is implemented.”

11-SUMMARY OF FRENCH NATIONAL TEAM FRANCOIS VANUXEM 's comments on the Vietnam War:

1- Can anyone believe that this peace, no matter what the cost, would be a failure of the Free World, especially of the United States, leading to new dangers for the security of our France?

2- Twenty years ago (1954), for temporary interests, people agreed to divide Vietnam into two regions, North and South, temporarily for only two years. Isn't this solution better than the measure of taking over South Vietnam by force to reunify the country?

3- In the end, the Republic of Vietnam regime lost, but in fact the Vietnamese people had not lost to the communists. The battle did not end on April 30, 1975.

4-I always remind my family that we pray together for the Vietnamese people to achieve peace according to their wishes. I believe that God and the Virgin Mary do not abandon the Vietnamese people.

12- Summary of the assessment of the Vietnam War by French historian and journalist Pierre Darcourt

1- Three million people died for a military victory, a victory that did not solve anything but instead led to a political and human defeat. Initiating and leading a 30-year war that was said to unify the country, but in the end only saw a country more torn and devastated than ever!

2- "It was the North Vietnamese Communists who were the real invaders. And South Vietnam was just a victim who had to fight to defend itself."

3- Three hundred thirty-four (334) communist attacks on the territory of South Vietnam were recorded within 2 days after the Paris Ceasefire Agreement on January 27, 1973 was officially announced....
Peace in Vietnam is still just an illusion!

4- A miserable nation, tormented, having all its limbs chopped off, having its fortune ruined just because it fell into the trap of a stupid and tragic political play that they themselves did not know about, did not understand at all...

5-“I want to scream, I want to shout out loud for the whole world to hear: Let them live! Let their suffering end!”

6-This is Kissinger's Peace:

While the US cut aid to the South from 2.3 billion to 964 million and eventually rejected this budget, the Soviet Union doubled its military aid to North Vietnam in 1974 to 1.7 billion. China also sent to North Vietnam 500,000 individual guns with 90 million bullets, 21,000 community guns with 4.5 million bullets and nearly 3 million military equipment and uniforms... While the US army and allied countries withdrew from the South, Russian-Soviet cargo ships loaded with war equipment continuously docked at Hai Phong port.

7- There is no doubt that all the regular soldiers entering Saigon were Northerners (original Tonkinois). The South was not liberated, but occupied! There was not a single member of the CPLTCHMN (Provisional Government of the Republic of South Vietnam).

13- Summary of comments on the Vietnam War by   French journalist Michel Tauriac:

1- “In South Vietnam, where every family of three, in one way or another, had to be involved in re-education, even for just one month, it was enough for the most gullible to understand that the so-called political leniency was just a ploy.”

2-But why is there such a strange silence before the extreme crimes of the Vietnamese Communists against their own people? Is it because these crimes cannot be attributed to familiar names like Hitler or Pinochet” (8) – because they are all related to another name that many people have once loudly praised?

3- By early 1976, the Vietnamese Communists had become even more rigid and ruthless with the people. The promises of "national reconciliation" had vanished forever, and the re-education camps were full of people, the people of the South were followed closely by the Communist police, and tens of thousands of city dwellers were exiled to barren cities or to the poisonous jungles that the Vietnamese Communists covered up with the flowery name of "new economic zones".

4- NEARLY TWO MILLION VIETNAMESE CHOSE TO LIVE IN EXILE IN A FOREIGN LAND INSTEAD OF BEING SLAVES FOR COMMUNISM, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE FALLEN TO DIE ON THE ROAD ESCAPE FROM THE CLUBS OF VIETNAMESE COMMUNISM. WHO DARED TO SPEAK SO OBSTESSIVELY AND PROPAGANDA THE LIES THAT ALL THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH VIETNAM WERE UNITED WITH THE "LIBERATION HEROES" IN 1975???

14-Summary of American historian  Rudolph Joseph Rummel 's comments on the Vietnam War

1-(1) Soviet Union 61,911,000 people. (2) Communist China 35,236,000 people. (3) Japanese militarists 5,964,000 people. (4) Khmer Rouge 2,035,000 people. (5) Turkey 1,883,000 people. (6) Vietnamese communists killed 1,670,000 people. ( 7) Polish communists 1,585,000 people. (8) Yugoslav communists 1,072,000 people.

2-“No government in history has taken as many initiatives to destroy its citizens as the Soviet regime” (2). Rummel called the Soviet regime the greatest megamurderer in the world.

3- Thus, the biggest killers in the 20th century were dictatorships. Among those dictatorships, communist regimes were at the top. According to Rummel, in the article “How many did Communist regimes murder?”.

15-  Summary of US Professor  Lewis Sorley's comments on the Vietnam War

1 – “The point to remember is that if compared with contemporary forces or according to historical records, the ARVN fought bravely and deservedly throughout the war. That is a bright spot that is never mentioned.”

2- “It was only because our country failed to fulfill its commitment to South Vietnam while the communists continued and steadily increased their support for North Vietnam that our unfortunate ally was overwhelmed and defeated.”

3- “The fundamental and undeniable factor is that about 95 percent of the people want the existing Vietnamese government rather than a communist government or a government proposed by the other side."

4- Many Americans do not like to hear that the dictatorships of Soviet Russia and China have proven more trustworthy than the Democratic United States. But that is the harsh truth.

5- “In conclusion, let me just say that the Vietnam War was a worthy war, because the South Vietnamese and their allies defended a noble cause.”

Appendix :

The harmful effects of the war masterminded by the Vietnamese Communists and their absolute adherence to the Ideological Platforms of International Communism:

There are 3 issues that need to be clarified about the Damage caused by the 30-year war from 1945 to 1975 in Vietnam in each stage :

A- In the period of 1945-1954, the resistance war against French colonialism of the entire people was exploited by the Viet Minh to cause a civil war to kill patriots who did not follow communism. The Vietnamese Communist Party even borrowed the hands of French colonialism   to kill other parties that did not follow communism. The whole country was covered in an atmosphere of terror because the Vietnamese people had to fight both French colonialism and atheistic international communism.

B- The period from 1955 to 1975, while Vietnam was divided into two countries according to the Geneva Armistice Agreement of 1954, each region had its own territory, its own government, and was not allowed to invade each other and waited for a favorable opportunity for a General Election in Peace and for the entire people to choose a suitable regime, the Communist Party of Vietnam had planned in advance   to sabotage security and disrupt elections if any. From 1955, the Communist Party of Vietnam sent cadres and soldiers   to invade the South, seriously violating the territorial integrity of the Geneva Agreement. This period was not a civil war as the Communist Party often claimed, because the First Republic's ruling regime was cruel, the people of the South rebelled. In reality, the Communist Party of Vietnam planned in advance to plant 65,000 cadres and soldiers   in the South before 1954 (including Le Duan), and at the same time sent tens of thousands of regular troops across the 17th parallel, infiltrating through the Ho Chi Minh trail to invade the South.

C- Post-war period from 1975-2011: Voting with feet, crossing the border by primitive boats of over 2 million Vietnamese people in search of Freedom and Human Rights. The departure continued in different forms such as family reunification, foreign labor, hasty marriage... of millions of people and is still ongoing, telling the Truth about the Vietnam War 1945-1975, about the cruel and barbaric rule of the Communist regime.

- To know clearly the true nature of the Vietnam War 1945-1975 caused by Vietnamese Communists, please see the most accurate comments of intellectuals and religious leaders currently living in the country :

Comments of Most Venerable Thich Quang Do (Supreme Patriarch of the Unified Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam) on the 1945-1975 War and current life:

http://depmagazine.com/~/goto/bao-czech-phong-van-hoa-thuong-thich-quang-do-2047.aspx Czech newspaper interviews Venerable Thich Quang Do DOMESTIC 10/5/2009 : Communists are as cruel as tigers and leopards.

“…If there is a major public protest, the Communist government will not hesitate to suppress and kill with brutal force. Just like China in 1989. The communists are as vicious as tigers and leopards.”

“…The West only focuses on business, they don’t care about politics. For example, Bush promised that the United States would stand with those fighting for freedom and democracy in Vietnam. But his visit to Hanoi did not mention the issue of human rights.”

…”While Ngo Dinh Diem Let us be free in the temples without interference, only care about what we do in society, then the communists infiltrate and attack deeply into the Buddhist community."

There is a video in English translated.

Venerable Thich Quang Do : “That is understandable, if you know that my master was brutally and horribly murdered by the Communists. Then my mother and my master’s elder brother, even my grand master, were also murdered by the Communists. So I see the Communists as extremely brutal. In addition, they also follow and apply a totalitarian dictatorship. People do not have the right to express their own opinions. We do not have human rights, nor democracy. The Communists rule the people as they wish. Therefore, I think that we cannot let the Communists do that arbitrarily forever. We have to do something.”

…. I hope that for those who watch this interview, I respectfully request them to continue to help the Vietnamese people find a way to have Democracy, Freedom and Human Rights. Especially for Norway, I express my sincere gratitude to the Rafto Human Rights Foundation, named after Professor Thorolf Rafto, for the award they gave me in 2006. Regarding the events in North Korea, Cuba, I hope... I have lived under the Communist regime for 35 years now, I understand that the people in those Communist countries do not have any peace or happiness. They endure a lot of suffering, so I hope that those countries will abandon the Communist ideal, change to Democracy, Freedom and Human Rights. If human rights are respected, all people, all nations, all countries in the world will be peaceful and happy. I hope that the whole world will be peaceful and happy!

Father Nguyen Van Ly's comments on the Vietnam War and life today :

http://dailyvnews.wordpress.com/2010/12/30/l%E1%BB%9Di-keu-g%E1%BB%8Di-c%E1%BB%A7a-lm-nguy%E1%BB%85n-van-ly-gi%E1%BA%A3i-th%E1%BB%83-d%E1%BA%A3ng-csvn-dem-l%E1%BA%A1i-da-d%E1%BA%A3ng-dan-ch%E1%BB%A7-cho-vn-112011/ Father Nguyen Van Ly's call to dissolve the Communist Party of Vietnam to bring multi-party democracy to Vietnam 1/1/2011

“The atheistic and materialistic dictatorial Communist regime has become an extremely bitter disaster for Humanity, a completely failed global experiment in a dream of justice, peace, civilization, and prosperity that will never be achieved. Anyone with a shred of conscience and mind does not want this immoral regime to exist for another moment on this planet.”

….In Vietnam alone, over the past 80 years, since 1930 when the Indochinese Communist Party, that is, the Communist Party of Vietnam, was present in our Homeland, hatred-deceit-oppression-robbery-injustice-violence-struggle-terrorism-war… have continuously torn apart our Fatherland and our People, in all forms, both brutal and sophisticated, causing no Vietnamese citizen to live happily and peacefully even for a single day. This painful and boring experience in each of us should not last another day in our Nation and in the souls of our innocent children and grandchildren.”

Speaking to Communist Party members, Police, and Army, Father Ly advised:

“…So I earnestly request that you must use all the scientific spirit of a communist who still has some love for the country and self-respect, to immediately do one of the following two urgent tasks:
1.1. Stop killing and arresting innocent victims and truly patriotic citizens, repent, resign, and dissolve the Communist Party full of mistakes and sins that you are leading. The entire Vietnamese people only hope to soon see the day when the Communist Party - the great disaster of the nation - SELF-DECLARATES ITSSELF-DISCLOSURE. At the same time, hand over the country to a provisional government, to prepare for the multi-party National Assembly Election, even though it only has the color of a young transitional democracy, at the end of 2011 as planned.
1.2. WISELY AND COURAGEOUSLY ENTER THE HONORABLE EXIT: End the role of a single party, objectively accept a genuine multi-party pluralism regime: the Communist Party of Vietnam will compete fairly and healthily with other political organizations, to join hands to build the Country side by side, like most civilized countries in the world today, to avoid the situation where the entire people can no longer endure, cannot restrain the explosive actions that cause unpredictable damage to the Country.

2. All the Police and Army forces! The Fatherland has fallen into the hands of foreign countries, a part of its territory and sea territory that is extremely important in terms of security and strategy. The Country has become increasingly dependent on the Chinese Communist Empire in all areas. Dear Friends, please STAND DETERMINANTLY ON THE SIDE OF THE PEOPLE, to always perform the extremely noble task of protecting the security and defense of the Fatherland, and to always be a reliable support for our compatriots.

Comments on the Vietnam War and the current rule of the Communist Party of Vietnam by young lawyer Le Thi Cong Nhan :

http://thangtienvn.multiply.com/journal/item/103 Lawyer Le Thi Cong Nhan: The dictator is afraid of people who speak the truth .

Lawyer Le Thi Cong Nhan  : “We live under the authoritarian rule of the Communist Party of Vietnam, so the current Vietnamese government and state are called a dictatorship by the world. Not only the communist dictatorship of Vietnam, but also the special thing is that the countries that follow communism are all moving towards such a dictatorship. Dictatorship can be understood as an authoritarian rule and without different ideas.”

“…I think that in Vietnam, the trampling of human rights caused by the communists has reached a level where people feel secure, comfortable, and at ease in the forced silence before human rights. They have been educated and indoctrinated, so they have become accustomed to it. They are not only victims, but they also contribute to the extremely wrong and crippled perception of human rights. Therefore, their own human rights are also violated, sometimes without them knowing, or even if they know, they do not feel that it is important.”

“…If Vietnam had freedom of speech, including freedom of information, freedom of the press, freedom to publish books, etc., and more specific rights, I firmly believe that the communist dictatorship in Vietnam would collapse soon and unexpectedly.”

http://congdongvietnamnamcalifornia.wordpress.com/2010/03/11/lu%e1%ba%adt-s%c6%b0-cong-nhan-da-hy-sinh-ph%e1%ba%a3i-hy-sinh-d%e1%ba%bfn-cung/

“Lawyer Le   Thi   Cong Nhan: If we want to develop for the better, we need to change the bad things that are present. We have decided to fight, we must decide to sacrifice. That is the inevitable consequence, otherwise, we should not fight anymore. If we have decided to sacrifice, we must sacrifice to the end. If we sacrifice unfinished, then what is the point of sacrificing?”

The future direction of struggle for a truly Democratic and Free Vietnam :

1- After 36 years of fighting for a truly Independent, Free, and Democratic Vietnam. We Vietnamese have learned the following lesson: We do not need to look for a leader, but must find an effective POLICY and PLAN that can unite the Homeland and Overseas to fight together to bring practical benefits to the Homeland and the People. The leaders are those who fight tirelessly for Democracy and Human Rights, directly confronting the Communist Traitors, not the "salon" politicians.

2- Non-violent struggle   to dissolve the dictatorial Communist regime is the most effective way to reconcile and resolutely fight against the decline of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the government that harms the people and the country. Do not call for personal or collective revenge, according to Buddhist philosophy: "Repaying resentment with resentment will only increase resentment. Repaying kindness with kindness will only destroy resentment", all Vietnamese people look towards a bright future: PROSPERITY, EQUALITY   , CIVILIZATION and   bearing the traditional characteristics of the Vietnamese people: pride, solidarity, and kindness.

3-A new Constitution, a new National Assembly, a new Government will be born to meet the demands   of the entire Vietnamese people at home and abroad on the threshold of the NEW MILLENNIUM.

4- The reality of the current Vietnamese Communist regime, through history, has proven that they are a bunch of traitors who sell out the country, shouting national unity but killing patriotic non-Communist intellectuals. In 1946, the Vietnamese Communist Party compromised and sold the country to the French Colonialists, in 1958 and 2000, they sold the country to Communist China, so there can be no reconciliation with the traitors. With the parties loyal to the interests of the Nation and People, we boldly reconcile with each other (there is no such thing as reconciliation with the VGCS) to seek consensus to rebuild the post-Communist homeland.

Conclude:

To conclude the Vietnam War 1945-1975, we need to agree on some important issues that remain in modern Vietnamese history as follows:

1- The intentions of the imperialist factions of the US, the Soviet Union, China, England, and France :- On the international scene, this was a "hot war" within the " Cold War "   that was taking place fiercely at that timeallover the world. Both the Soviet Union and China, despite having deep conflicts with each other, still provided maximum aid to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam against the US.[ii] The Vietnam War from 1945 to 1975 is considered the most expensive war in human history: The great powers, due to many different goals of each period, provided aid to the parties in the Vietnam War in all aspects of economy, military, culture, science and technology, training, education... at different levels. In general, aid increased with the scale of the war. While the United States provided aid to the Republic of Vietnam, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam received help from China, the Soviet Union and the socialist bloc. Foreign aid had a huge impact on the war situation and the lives of the people in the two regions of Vietnam, not only providing material aid but also providing human resources, experts and sending soldiers to participate directly in the war. They reserved the right to decide the war, the people of the two regions of Vietnam were just tools for the superpowers to compete for victory in their strategies. Vietnam is the place for them to test weapons of mass destruction. The Vietnamese Communist Party's compliance with the strategy of international communism at all costs to attack the South is a mistake, a crime against all Vietnamese people. The Vietnamese Communist Party alone has contributed to international communism.   http://vi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vi%E1%BB%87n_tr%E1%BB%A3_n%C6%B0%E1%BB%9Bc_ngo%C3%A0i_trong_Chi%E1%BA%BFn_tranh_Vi%E1%BB%87t_Nam Foreign aid in the Vietnam War )

2- The ultimate goal of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the results of the Vietnam War after 1975 until today,   what have the Vietnamese people gained and lost? Reality through historical periods shows that in the War 1945-1975, the Communist Party of Vietnam put class struggle as the main thing, while Freedom and Nation were only secondary. Therefore, the Communist Party of Vietnam   sacrificed the interests of the Nation to serve the International Communist Party.[iii]. But thanks to cleverly hiding their dependence on international communism and deceiving the entire people through the guise of People's War, Nationalist resistance against foreign invaders, etc., the support of the people leaned towards the Vietnamese Communist Party and the war ended in favor of the evildoers. During the past 36 years, the Vietnamese people have clearly understood: In the early stages, they took advantage of the name of resistance to benefit international communism, in the stage after 1975, they wore the mask of Vietnamese Communist Party to rule in the form of barbaric communism, but in reality, they no longer believed in communism (the whole world has condemned communism as a crime against humanity), they only cared about raking in and embezzling public funds, they did not hesitate to commit the damnable crimes of selling out the country and trafficking people as long as they got rich on the blood and bones of the nation to achieve their goals.

The damage caused by the Vietnamese Communist Party   is enormous. They have divided families, religions, organizations, and the entire nation in a serious and long-lasting way. After the fight against foreign invaders (French colonialism) was over, the entire people   would easily join in rebuilding the country. Instead, the internal conflict has been lingering for decades (from 1945 to present), weakening the country and is still   continuing. It is unknown when the people will be able to unite to join in renovating the country and defending against foreign invaders.

3- The true aspirations of the Vietnamese people :  Given the current situation of the country, how are the Vietnamese people being controlled by the Communist Party of Vietnam and what do the 90 million people desire for themselves and for the country:

The Western powers (including the US, UK, France, and the Soviet Union) after World War   II divided their profits unevenly. They wanted to wage war but wisely did not open fronts in Europe and America, but only wanted to move to Asia and Southeast Asia to sell weapons for profit. Communist China was too poor and backward, wanting to take advantage of the Indochina war to annex some countries in southern China (China really wanted Taiwan but did not want to cause bloodshed for the Chinese people), so they pulled the strings and forced the North Vietnamese Communists to attack the South to "the clams and the storks fight each other, the fisherman benefits". In 1979, Communist China mobilized many divisions to attack 6 provinces in northern Vietnam. It is clear that Ho Chi Minh and the Communist Party of Vietnam misjudged their greedy "comrade". The secret dealings between the US and China during the Paris Peace Talks in 1973 revealed Mao's great intention of wanting the US and the Soviet Union to confront each other and sit in the middle to ask for aid from both sides. Then they completely fell down to let   the US help “Modernize” the Chinese army to be on par with the Soviet Union. Couldn’t the ringleaders of the Vietnamese Communist Party like Le Duan, Truong Chinh, Pham Van Dong… see anything? Or did they clearly understand the ambitions of their Chinese masters, but because they wanted to protect their seats and protect the Vietnamese Communist Party, they kept their mouths shut and took the money?

The genuine aspiration of all Vietnamese people is to have peace, not to want war, to use   their strength, diligence and intelligence to seek family happiness and prosperity for the Country. But the Communist Party of Vietnam took advantage of the people's ardent patriotism, trampled on the interests of the Nation, causing the North-South war to seize power and benefits for a minority of high-ranking party members. After 1975, with their inherent greed and dictatorship in their bones, they once again sold out their homeland to the Chinese invaders, and everyone saw their greedy ambition.

4-What will Vietnam's future be like in the "Post-Communist" period:

-To conclude the assessment of the Vietnam War, we can use the criticism of Socialism by Phan Boi Chau written in 1938 about the cruel tricks of the Vietnamese Communist Party that he saw in the 1930s as follows:

“ Calling for class struggle in this country is an extremely stupid thing ! People who are aware of the times would never do such a thing... In the same accident, not joining forces to gradually regain lost rights according to the situation to rebuild the foundation of the Nation, but instead seeking ways to kill each other and divide each other , to reduce the fighting force, is truly a mistake!”

... "In short, people took advantage of the Socialist movement   to divide the forces in the country, to destroy solidarity   and to destroy the national spirit of our people.[iv].”

(Excerpt from Phan Boi Chau Complete Works, Volume 4, Thuan Hoa Publishing House, Hue, 1990. In an interview with journalist Maurice Detour, L, Effort newspaper, Hanoi.   Trang An newspaper, October 7, 1938 issue. In the book "Vietnamese Communist Crimes" by historian Tran Gia Phung, Non Nuoc Publishing House, Canada 2001, page 30.)

Democracy of the “ask, give” type, Human Rights of “granting”, Independence of “kneeling”, Freedom of “pie in the sky”… Vietnamese people are fed up with slogans, political study sessions where “teachers do not want to teach and students do not want to learn” are still repeated until today, many people are pessimistic, but everyone realizes that   the “innovation” for Democracy and Freedom is truly   irreversible.

Please read the comments of a “Vietnam Studies” expert, Dr. Jean-Francois Sabouret, who is also the Director of the Asian Research Network, Réseau Asie, of the French National Center for Scientific Research - CNRS. He has been to Vietnam to do research ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/vietnamese/vietnam/2012/01/120124_vn_intelligentsia_sabouret.shtml ):

“The Communist Party needs to have a clear, annual roadmap to proactively transform towards returning power to the people.

"The Communist Party in Vietnam has opened up more or less. They have chosen a controlled, step-by-step opening. I won't go into the details. But now they can't go back. They have to open up. If they keep the door closed like this, it will become dangerous for them."

Sabouret believes that intellectuals “have no other choice” but to commit themselves and continue to courageously speak out for the common good of society, the community and humanity, whether they are in France, in Vietnam or anywhere else.”

But one thing is certain: how to reform, how to innovate, which governing system is appropriate, all of the above must be decided by the Vietnamese people for their own destiny. To carry out the Jasmine Revolution for Vietnam, the right to decide and implement it belongs to the people and for the Vietnamese people.
